Rita Taf, APNP/ Nurse Practioner

Rita Tafs, from Plain, Wisconsin, graduated from Edgewood College with a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing. Since Rita worked full time while going to school, so she had to learn effective time management. While in school, she enjoyed working at a variety of clinical sites, which allowed her to experience different approaches and styles of nursing.

Rita earned her Master's degree in Nursing - Adult Nurse Practitioner at University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Nursing, where she had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations. She completed her clinicals with Spring Green Medical Center (Spring Green, Wisconsin), Reedsburg Physicians Group (Reedsburg, Wisconsin) and with the VA in Madison, Wisconsin.

Rita feels that the Sauk Prairie area is "a wonderful community with an 'All American' feel to it, with excellent schools, hospital and clinic."

Rita joined Prairie Clinic in November 2008 as a Nurse Practitioner, because of the "excellent staff and compassionate care in a small town that allows you to know your patients on a community level, not just as a patient."

In her spare time, Rita enjoys gardening, cooking, skiing, snow-shoeing, hiking/walking, and camping.
